Description of Incident: 

Operator was sitting in a chair on porch before placing his foot on the sensor pad of the hoverboard. Hoverboard began shaking violently and performed a complete sideward flip before a hard landing. After the landing, the inward central disk was shattered, with peices disconnected and exposed, and the hoverboard was twisted at an unnatural and unprecidented angle.


Determined Causes of Incident:

1. Operator failed to excercise reactive compensation and did not withdrawing pressure upon realization of an unintended reaction of the hoverboard.

2. Hoverboard possibly had an error, which resulting in this sort of reaction.


Imposed Regualtions Resulting from Incident:

1. Operator is not to intentionally cause the hoverboard to shake, whether mildly or intensly.

2. Operator is to immediately compensate for any perception that the hoverboard is shaking or is about to shake, whether by applying more pressure, entirely ceasing pressure, or utilizing another corrective action deemed relevant and effect by the operator under their given circumstances.


Imposed Recommendations Resulting from Incident:

None in addition to adherance to resulting regulations


Additional Information:

Hoverboard remained operational after the incident.
